Award-Winning SHEDay Returning to RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg in 2016

November 9, 2015: The award-winning SHEday concept—a compelling experience of sharing, hearing and empowering for entrepreneurial, pre-executive and executive women—will return to the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg on January 15, 2016. Co-presented by Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. and the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba, with title sponsor RBC Royal Bank, this year’s leadership event will see 10 powerful speakers share their thoughts on the importance of teamwork, financial wellness and personal presence.

“The success of the inaugural SHEday, which sold out and was subsequently honoured with an industry award from the International Economic Development Council, revealed a clear gap in the marketplace for an affordable event targeting our city’s professional women,” said Marina R. James, president and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. and a host of SHEday 2016. “I’m pleased a whole new slate of speakers are anxious to share their knowledge and experience, and I’m convinced SHEday 2016 attendees will be rewarded with multiple takeaways that will help them strike an optimal balance between their work and personal lives.”

SHEday 2016 speakers:

“Women continue to face significant challenges as they navigate their professional lives,” said Sandra Altner, CEO of the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba and a host of SHEday 2016. “The second annual SHEday event will build on the momentum of the previous success by continuing the dialogue about the opportunities and challenges for women both as entrepreneurs and employees. Our goal is to help transform the current landscape in a way that will eliminate gender disparity in the years ahead.”

SHEday 2016 hosts:

SHEday 2016 tickets are just $49 per person and include an event pass, lunch, snacks, beverages and access to a headshot lounge. Participants will get the chance to network with 600 like-minded female leaders.
