There have been some amazing changes to the city over the last ten years - think Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Journey to Churchill at Assiniboine Park Zoo and big developments like the airport, the expanded RBC Convention Centre and True North Square – the momentum in Winnipeg has shifted and there’s never been a better time to start telling our story to the world.
You have a role to play. We want you to be an ambassador for our city, so we’ve developed a toolkit to make it easy for you. Whether it’s a tourist, friends or family from out of town, or a colleague on business, we have provided you with all of the information you need to tell them about the best places to visit, where to eat and some fun facts about our prairie town.
Being a Winnipeg ambassador has been one of the key messages of Economic Development Winnipeg and its President and CEO Dayna Spiring. Why is this so important?
“Winnipeg has so many incredible stories to tell. If enough of us get together and start sharing the Winnipeg story, we can influence perceptions about this city,” says Spiring. “Each of us has a role to play in getting the message out and promoting the wonderful things that are happening in Winnipeg. Those stories are important because I truly believe that success will breed success.”
